Signed Star Wars Memorabilia Is a Great Investment

Star Wars

Over the years Star Wars has just become bigger and more popular than ever. There is now nine featured films in the series and also two standalone featured films with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Solo: A Star Wars Story. With Disney taking over the Lucasfilm franchise in 2012 for a reported $4.05 Billion it’s popularity has skyrocketed with new generations of fans now entering the picture.

Created by film maker George Lucas, the series begins with Episode 4: A New Hope and introduces characters like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia and Darth Vader and they all come from a galaxy far far away. With powers from the Force and a lightsaber, a Jedi Knight which is all but extinct has been reignited with the introduction of Luke Skywalker. But there is a threat from the Dark Side of the force.

Two more films are then added on to continue the story. In Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke begins his training as a Jedi Knight. New Characters come on the scene like Jedi Master Yoda, Lando Calrissian and Boba Fett. It’s this episode that Luke finds out the shocking news about his Father.

Return Of The Jedi is the last of the Luke Skywalker Series and as the name suggests Luke is now a Jedi and with the help of his friends defeats the Empire and brings back order to the Galaxy. In this episode we are introduced to the Ewoks which are Teddy Bear like creatures that live on the forest moon of Endor.

In 1999, 22 years after A New Hope was released George Lucas brought to the world Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. In the Phantom Menace we are shown of a time when Jedi Knights protected the Galaxy but the Trade Federation disrupts peace in the Galactic Republic. We are introduced to characters like Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn, Padmé Amidala, a young Obi Wan Kenobi and young boy named Anakin Skywalker.

Episode 2: Attack of the Clones. A 19 year old Anakin Skywalker is learning the ways of the force by his Master Obi Wan Kenobi. They are called on to protect Senator Padmé Amidala who is in considerable danger. Anakin then escorts Padme back to Naboo and they fall in love.Star Wars Signed Memorabilia

Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith is the last of the Anakin Skywalker series and here we see Anakin as a Jedi. Anakin reunites with Padmé who is now pregnant. In fear of losing Padmé after Anakin sees visions of her death in his sleep. He is brainwashed to the Darkside and becomes Darth Vader.

Episode 7: The Force Awakens came out in 2015 and is the first of the Disney Branded series. Thirty years after the Galactic Civil War, the First Order has risen from the Galactic Empire to Eliminate the New Republic. Here we see the return of Han Solo and Chewbacca, as well as Princess Leia. New Characters that are introduced are Poe Dameron, Rey and the evil Kylo Ren.

Episode 8: The Last Jedi. Shortly after the destruction of Starkiller Base, General Leia Organa leads the evacuation of Resistance forces from D’Qar, when a First Order fleet arrives. Against Leia’s orders, Poe Dameron leads a costly counterattack that destroys a First Order dreadnought. The remaining Resistance escapes into hyperspace, but the First Order uses a device to track them, and attacks again. In this episode we see Han Solo die and Luke Skywalker come out of hiding to confront the First Order.

  1. I haven’t heard my kids talk about star wars a lot and me bing a very busy person do not always have the time to pay attention to it because of work. I have been meaning to learn something about it and if possible get a game ifoone is available, but learning a bit about it from this post gives me some certain level of joy and now i can relate with them on that level. Best regards

    • Hi Benson I’m glad you enjoyed the post, theirs plenty of Star Wars products out there and plenty of games whether it’s video or board. Star Wars is the best.

  2. Right from a very long time, I’ve been following Star wars and I must confess I enjoyed every single one of it and It’s been a very nice and interesting thing to do. Having a memorabilia will be a very good idea because there will definitely be a time you’ll need to be referred back to some previous occurrences in the series. This is a very good idea and I think it is nice.

    • Hi thanks for the comment. Signed Memorabilia is a great investment as will increase in value and looks good. As long as you do your research and ensure it’s authentic you can’t go wrong.

  3. I don’t think that the Star Wars enterprise is EVER going to die.  I completely agree with you that certain signed memorabilia will most definitely increase in value especially as our favourite actors pass away.  So many of us grew up on Star Wars and even now would never miss a new episode that these memorabilia would be completely AWESOME to own as well as a great investment!

    • Hi thanks for the comment your definitely correct in saying Star Wars will never die and it just seems to be getting bigger and more popular now that Disney owns the rights to the franchise. Once the actors start to pass on you will see the signed memorabilia’s value grow as having ownership of something signed will be harder to get.

  4. For a while now, I’ve not been so Current with Star wars and it’s really painful that I’ve been so busy to that extent and even the little time I always have I spend with my family and I workout too. I’ve enjoyed watching it and it’s been so amazing that something like this is being presented to aid people interest and experience towards the movie. I love the idea of signing this new memorabilia, I’ll try and see how to go about it.

    • Hi there, thanks for the comment, signed memorabilia is a great investment and also a great showpiece for the home. With the popularity of Star Wars it is something that would have high demand as well.

  5. My kids love to watch star wars and sometimes, i take it as a pleasure to watch it with them. I’ve been helping them follow the series, especially their eldest sister who’s a bit old. I believe this memorabilia will be a great one and the idea of signing it is also good. The only concern I have now is the price but I actually thinks it is very worth it anyways. It’s nice that you shared this.

    • Hi Star Wars is very popular and hasn’t lost it’s popularity from generation to generation. I also introduced all the movies to my children and I am sure they will do the same with theirs. Signed Memorabilia can be a bit pricey but I’m the same I think it’s well worth it and knowing that as the years go by the value will increase is reassuring.

  6. Wow, could you imagine how much that signed, autograph photo will be worth 10 years from now if things keep going the way they are? I would love to get my hands on some memorabilia for collection and for investment purposes. Do you have any guides on investing in memorabilia and how to tell what might be worth more in the future?

    • Hi Marlinda

As long as you do your research and purchase your memorabilia from a reputable dealer you should be fine. I highly recommend as everything they have is Authentic and Certified. I think you will find that anything to do with Star Wars is going to increase in value because of how popular the franchise is. I suggest checking out the website and see what is on offer.
